Vintage 1940s/50s Knitted Fabric Straight Short Tie

This is a bit of a conundrum. It appears to be a sort of cross between a cravat and a tie. It has a reinforcing patch at the back of the neck. One end is slightly narrower and quite a bit shorter. Tied this will be a short tie.

Very good vintage condition.
